The Office of the Executive Director for the Arts (EDA) is responsible for planning and articulating a comprehensive performing arts program and serves as an advocate for the performing arts both within and outside the University. The EDA provides leadership and vision to enable Carolina to advance its performing arts programs. The EDA has full responsibility for Memorial Hall, Historic Playmakers Theatre, and Gerrard Hall, and determines appropriate use of these facilities, including technical support, ticketing, publicity, marketing, and fundraising.

The North Carolina Symphony is a full-time, professional orchestra with 69 members. With its home in Raleigh's Meymandi Concert Hall, the symphony performs about 183 concerts a year in the Triangle and throughout the state to bring music to the people of North Carolina, regardless of background, age, economic situation or geographic location.

Each season, Sept-May, PlayMakers presents 5-6 professionally produced plays in the Paul Green Theatre, a 500-seat facility on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill, as well as 3 second stage productions in the 300-seat Elizabeth Price Kenan Theatre.

The ArtsCenter is a non-profit, community supported, multi-faceted, regional arts center. The ArtsCenter nourishes the arts, creativity, and community through education, performance and exhibition.

The Triangle Youth Ballet is a 501-c-3 nonprofit that maintains a training facility in a ballet-based curriculum for dancers 3 to adult and supports a Regional Dance America/South Eastern Regional Ballet Association performing company.
